Her Happy Days: My Self-Reflection Journey

At the time of this writing, there is still no cure or vaccine available to fight COVID-19. Being at home for more than a month now, literally not going out of the door is one of the things I could do to protect not only myself but also the people around me from this virus. I feel like I’m watching the world based on fiction, based on what we usually see in movies. We cannot deny that this crisis has been life-changing for almost majority of people in the world. We also cannot deny that this situation has somehow affected us not only professionally, physically, financially, spiritually but also mentally. Including myself.

In this depressing and pressing times, self-reflection and self-affirmation podcasts have been one of my best buddies. Come and join me as I embark on this self-reflection journey in the middle of this chaos. The world and the time pass us by so quickly. This is probably the chance given to us to pause for awhile. To assess which and who matter the most in our lives. To focus our attention to what gives our lives more meaning. To live purposefully. Going through this crisis is not going to be easy, but personally, this will be one useful step in helping and taking care of ourselves – mentally.

I am fortunate enough to be working in an organization that values its people’s welfare. I am fortunate enough to have convenient grocery services available to deliver goods and supplies right to my doorstep. Though living away from my real home, I am fortunate enough that I can still live comfortably in my temporary home in the middle of this crisis. And lastly, I am blessed enough to still be surrounded by people who cares. But I have to admit that during these tough times, I cannot exempt myself from feeling emptiness, sadness and depression.

So, in the next few weeks, I will be sharing with you some self-reflection guide (thanks to my friends who suggested this activity to me) that helps me to keep myself and my mind in tact. You are very much welcome to join me in this activity as I am hoping to reach more people as much as I can and let you know that you are not alone, the same way my loved ones, family and friends are making me feel in every possible way that they can.

PS: I am not a professional or a specialist when it comes to these kind of activities, I just want to share the things that I do to to keep myself mentally healthy. I repeat, everything I write in this blog site is based on my personal experiences, no professional or expert opinions. I am just a little potato trying to blog and somehow “hopefully” help and let other people know that there’s someone who listens, someone who cares even on the internet cloud.

I am one of them.

Much love,
